Our Artists

  • Osvaldo Chance Jimenez

A former NYC nightlife & art nightmare, Osvaldo - or affectionately known as OJ - is a multidisciplinary creative who now spends the best days of his life writing poetry inspired by the metal animals & antiques he helps sell at Fisk Meta Farm, and mowing the lawn of his dreams.

“When people asked why Delaware County and not anywhere else? I just points to my heavily stamped passport and tell them how I might have not seen everything, but I’ve seen a lot, and nowhere in the world is as beautiful as the rolling mountains in the foothills of the Catskills..”

  • Brian Rolfe

Hello, my name is Brian Rolfe and I am an art teacher and coach at Delaware Academy in Delhi, NY. I have lived in Delhi since 1992 after being hired right out of college. I have been lucky enough to raise my family in Delhi and appreciate all the area has to offer. My art style has settled somewhere between realism and stylistic. While I like the idea of creating art that is a true representation of real life, I also like creating art in a way that someone else can have their own perspective on it. I love the Catskills because of the natural surroundings. Being outdoors near rivers, mountains and trees is peaceful, relaxing and allows an individual to take a deep breath, relax and enjoy.

  • Studio 190

Studio 190 is a collaborative art program within The Arc of Delaware County. The Studio supports over 20 artists practicing their skills in a variety of mediums.

Operating on limited funds, the Studio often recycles and repurposes donated materials. Upcycling is a common theme in most, if not all, finished pieces.

Living and working in the Catskills has a strong influence on the art being made. Paintings and other works, often depict the local landscape and the beauty of the seasons.

  • Nancy Kulikowski

Nancy Kulikowski is a country folk artist with a rustic country flair. Her work can be seen around maple shade farm, Bovina farm day, and year-round at Yokels in Franklin.

    2023

I’m an emerging artist in the Catskills area. My work usually errs on the side of witty and wistful, playful and punny, with a whole lot of sentiment.

Here is a fun little painting, titled “Where were you raised?” playing on an old saying my grandparents used to toss at me “were you raised in a barn?” (usually in reaction to seeing me mud-covered and ready to eat the whole house). My childhood toys were found objects from my adventures outside, and my companions were often the farm animals I met along the way. I grew up in rural Massachusetts, but moved to the Catskills to pursue art school. Moving to the Catskills felt like finding another piece of my childhood. It felt like coming home.
